The Significance Of Redology In "Research Of Dong Xiaowan" Written By Meng Sen

Meng Sen’s "Research of Dong Xiao wan" in 1915, published in the "fiction", which was intended to clarify the historical facts, but also to criticize "Expound Dream of Red Mansions Obscure" written by Wang Mengruan and Shen pingan. This attack weapon along with Hu Shi published "Research of Dream of Red Mansions "in 1921 completely destroyed the old says of Wang and Shen. Meng Sen’s "Research of Dong Xiao wan", a text of both historical significance and redology meaning has been written in the history of Redology, have made a significant contribution in the establishment of "New Redology".In order of time,this article is divided into three parts.According to the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China, the Republic of China and contemporary to narrate the writing background, writing purpose,redology meaning and later repercussions of "Research of Dong Xiao wan".The first part to explain the writing background and purpose of "Research of Dong Xiaowan", and to analyze the specific criticism of Meng Sen to "The love story of Shun Zhi emperor and Dong Xiaowan". The second part focuses on the significance of redology in "Research of Dong Xiaowan", and to introduce the other two research articles written by Meng Sen. Finally, the third part narrate the contemporary opposition to "Research of Dong Xiaowan",and to analyze the error of their research methods.
