Metaphysics was once the backbone of philosophy, Lao Zi and Aristotle as living in the axial age philosophers, each created its own metaphysical system,Ja spers called them together metaphysician,so we can not help but curious, as diffe rent area philosopher, created a metaphysical of exploring common themes, are t he two metaphysical systems the same? If so, in what ways are the same. If not,in what ways are different, and why? Therefore, this paper mainly discusses La o Tzu’s Taoism and Aristotle’s ontology and the causes of the differences.divided into three issues, namely the similarities and differences of Lao Tzu’s Taoism a nd Aristotle’s ontology, the differences between the way of expression with Lao Tzu’s Taoism and the way of expression with Aristotle’s ontology, the differences between the way of thinking about Lao Tzu’s Taoism and the way of thinking about Aristotle’s ontology. the last two themes constitute their different ways of exploring, which makes the first theme appears as a different form and content.T here are two main research methods, literature research and comparative law.In t he process of the study, At first, elaborate respective contents, and then a simpl e comparison, when we elaborate respective content, ti is the process of distingui sh in the context, Based on this, have a simple comparison. For the conclusion of the three issues, about the similarities of Lao Tzu’s Taoism and Aristotle’s onto logy:1.With regard to issues of concern, both concerned about the static problem about the nature and the dynamic problem about the universe, both are generate d by the two parts.2.With regard to the "Road" with God, both of which are tra nscendent beings, are the first reason and underlying basis, are not defined, but both can be understood, and in the early birth of the universe, they play the mo st crucial role. The difference: both include the static part about them nature and t he dynamic part about the universe, but the Specific gravity of them is different.2.The meanings of "Dao" and form(God) is different, "Road" shouldering the nothi ngness nature, the Creator of the universe, the reasons of the universe movement,th e essence of the universe and so meanings,so the "Road" is a category which ha s so many meanings, the form of(God) does not like the "Road", has so many meanings. "Dao" and the form(God)play different roles in the universe movement, divided into three stages: When when the universe’s created, the universe is running, the universe is death,in the first phase, "Road" create everything, including m aterial Aristotle said, but God did not create the material, it only plays a role in the first impetus. In the second stage, the "Road" is within the universe, and mov es eternally, makes the nature of the universe maintain their own existence, "Road" constitutes the essence of the universe. At this stage, God does not make any interference, its existence is eternal. the form of individual things play the role, i t attracts the material to tend to it,and act as the nature of complex things. In the third stage, With the demise of the universe "Tao" returns to nothingness, ret urns to the root. The form(God)does not change, all things will not return to G od, and God only the starting point of all things, not the end.Because the Form can attract the material, so combined with each other the form and attract the material combined with each other to form something new. About the way of ex pression, the way of speaking about Taoism is the poetic way of speaking, the way of speaking about ontological is the logical way of speaking. About way of thinking, the main Road on the way of thinking about the “road” is the whole and intuitive way of thinking, the way of thinking about ontological is logical a nd analytical way of thinking.
