From outcast originally to elites of first-class society in America, Jews experienced frustration, desperation, opportunity and admiration in several generations during 1880-1950. It is a very important period for American Jews to became achievers and been respected by U.S. society.Besides the Sephardi Jews and Ashkenazi Jews who had been lived in early U.S., there were two kinds of immigrant Jews enter in U.S. during 1880-1950, they were the Eastern Europe Jews and Western Europe Jews. The large-scale persecution in Tsarist Russia in 1881 and the holocaust of Nazi Germany in WWII were the main reasons for Jews who chosen to immigrant in U.S.. For good economical development basis of U.S., the Jews prefer to live in famous cities like New York, Chicago, Boston and Philadelphia. They adopted new life and founded many Jewish Communities in these cities.From 1774 to 1950, The U.S. government’s immigration policies had three different phases: Phase of Liberal Policy(1740-1880), Phase of Restricted Policy(1880-1933), Phase of Re-opened Policy(1933-1950). U.S. government’s immigration policies during 1880-1933 was not specific to Jewish immigrants, it was formulated to all groups of Eastern Europe immigrants. However, with the Anti-Semitism expand in America, some unfavorable policies were been formulated for limited the Jewish immigrants. Since the higher political participation of American Jews in the 1930 s, they became stronger than before to influenced the U.S. political. To rescue the Europe Jewish refugees, U.S. government began to formulate particular policies for Jewish immigrants.American Jews made breakthroughs in political, economic and cultural fields of science during 1880-1950. Jews began to enter the political center in the 1930 s and had great influence on politics. They even made influence on international politics of middle East. Jews have a ’tradition’ of ’earning money and earn much money to expand their business. Success in Commercial was the investment to influence on politics. They let children to accept the elite education and brought up them as elites in professional jobs. American Jews also had achievements of Culture and science—Film, publishing, literature, art and science. Cultural achievements of Jews were outstanding contributions for cultural development of America and proved their own intelligence to all of the world.
