Dong Yi, styled Zongwen, was also known by his literary name Pingqiao Jushi(平桥居士).lived from the late Yuan dynasty to the beginning of Ming dynasty. His Work Sishu Jingyi Wendui was aimed to discuss the Confucian works "Sishu" and dig out the true meaning of the former sages. The former scholars have done some research, mainly about the brief introduction of the writer and the book’s aim, which Lay the foundation for our study today. With the premise of inheritance, We want to discuss the form and content of the book,and then try to discuss the thoughts behind the words and forms.For the purpose above, we divide the essay into five parts.The introduction part combs out the achievement made by the scholars in history. Point out the weakness of the former scholars’studies and put forward our research route and method.The first chapter of the essay focuses on the writer----Dong Yi, and his all works we have known today. In this part, we study Dong Yi’s life experiences and some friends through the historical records. For example, the records of Leping(乐平县志),which was published in the Qing dynasty? Besides, we have done the textual research and the collection of the works.The second chapter of the essay talks about the Forming process of the book Sishu Jingyi Wendui and the background of text. Except that, we list the books that have recorded it since the Ming dynasty. In order to show a study line of the bookThe third chapter of the essay is the emendation between the thee edition existed today. the two are published in the Yuan dynasty and the other the Ming dynasty. With the help of word by word reading, we have found out their relationship. And listed the different words and sentences by a graphThe last chapter of the essay is about the form and content of the book Sishu Jingyi Wendui. We discuss the form and content of the book, in addition, we make the comparison of other similar books written in the same time, then try to discuss the thoughts behind the words and forms. We also make comments about the book from the perspective of academic history.
