The Impact Of The Reform Of Modern Literature Concept On Literary Theory Paradigm

There is no doubt that in contemporary literary studies, cultural studies has become a famous theory, to replace the traditional literary theory research.Additionally, the emergence of "The death of literary theory" a few years ago, the traditional literary studies itself has increasingly become a problem. The problem of literary theory research focus on literary-centered or cultural-centered,aesthetic-centered or ideology-centered. In the face of all parties debates, this paper attempts to begin with the change of literary concept, to study the opportunities and challenges faced by contemporary literary theory.This paper attempts to illustrate the basic idea is that we usually understand literature is a product, which is from the middle ages, through nationalization and German classical aesthetics of literature after the opening of the aesthetic movement. This kind of literature concept received fully challenge after the rise of cultural tudies in 1960 s. On the one hand, cultural studies replacement the object of literature research, the research object of literary theory from the classical literary text to cultural text; On the other hand, ideological theory in the study of culture make an ideological analysis on aesthetic autonomy, and apply literary aesthetic transcendence back to specific social and historical context of culture. Both sides together promote the transformation of literary concepts finally. Since literature study changes in literary concepts and literary research object, the method of literature research theory also changed. On the one hand, Theory requires a critical methods of traditional literary theory, as for traditional literary theory dissatisfy powerlessness of reality; On the other hand, it dissatisfied with the reality of the society, and requires a critical theory of social reality directly.
