| Teaching Chinese characters to foreigners has always been considered as a major difficulty in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. On the one hand, for foreign learners, their weakest link is the learning of Chinese characters in the process of learning Chinese; On the other hand, for Mandarin Chinese teachers, the most stubborn problem in teaching is Chinese characters teaching. Nevertheless, with the rapid development of science and technology, information technology is increasingly being applied in normal teaching procedures, which has provided infinite possibilities of overcoming the difficulty of Chinese characters teaching in the current foreign language teaching. From then on, the assistance of multimedia technology in Chinese characters’ teahcing has gradually shown a good prospect. A variety of small softwares for the teaching of Chinese characters are appearing frequently. Moreover, Studies on the application of multimedia technology to the teaching of Chinese characters have become prominent in academia at home and abroad, although most of them are not systematic yet. These is still some space for exploration in the research object, depth, breadth, practical value and so on.According to the current research situation, this paper purposes a further attempt to discuss and explore the Chinese characters’ teaching of their appearance, pronunciation, meanings under the condition of multimeda technology from the following three aspects: Learning based on We Chat prior to teaching before class; Individualized teaching activities with the aid of multimedia courseware in class; Supplementary teaching combined with network resource and education software after class. It aims to provide some new technical support, new methods and new ideas for the teaching of Chinese characters in the background of Information Age.This thesis includes four parts:The intoduction, which provides the background, purpose, significance, methodology of the research.The first chapter mainly expounds the particularity of the teaching of Chinese characters to foreigners from these three factors:pronuciation, font and meaning. At the some time the author points out the defect in traditional Chinese characters’teaching to foreigners.The second chapter largely analyses the feasibility and advantages of using multimedia for teaching Chinese characters in terms of theory and multimedia itself.The third chapter is the core of this thesis, it is divided into three sections:Learning based on We Chat prior to teaching before class; Individualized teaching activities with the aid of multimedia courseware in class; Supplementary teaching combined with network resource and education software after class. Based on these, the author elucidates how to integrate multimedia technology into the teaching of Chinese characters to foreigners.In the fourth chapter, the author enumerates some problems of Chinese characters’ teaching with multimedia, which should be taken seriously. |
