Relationship Research On Modern Shaanxi New-style Schools And Shaanxi Tung Meng Hui

In modern times, China was forced to open the door to the world by the gunboats of Western powers. Small peasant economy that existed for thousands of years began to disintegrate, transforming into modern society gradually. Shaanxi was located in the interior of China, where class conflicts and ethnic conflicts were even more acute. The majority of the people were on the brink of bankruptcy. Qing dynasty founded a number of New-style Schools in order to preserve their regime and relieve the contradictions between domestic and abroad. These schools taught people new knowledge, new skills, and also inspired them with the ideology of anti-imperialism and anti-feudalism. The students there joined the Tung Meng Hui under this background. They not only played a key role in the organization and leadership of the 1911 Revolution, but also involved in the development of social undertakings. They founded New-style Schools, upgraded teaching philosophy and made outstanding contributions for the modernization of education in Shaanxi.This thesis has discussed the construction and development of Shaanxi New-style Schools and Shaanxi Tung Meng Hui respectively, and explored the relations between them. The third section explains the problems between Shaanxi New-style Schools and Shaanxi Tung Meng Hui. and reflects the enlightenment of Shaanxi New-style Schools and Shaanxi Tung Meng Hui for the contemporary to provide a reference for the development of education.Through the study of Shaanxi New-style Schools and Shaanxi Tung Meng Hui, the thesis explores their relations in modern times, and makes a better understanding of the relations between advanced education and social change. It also makes the public be more aware of the leading role of advanced intellectuals in social development, so as to construct a better environment for education, knowledge and talents, which could promote the harmonious development of the society.
