A Study On Female Writer’s Texts From The Perspective Of Carnivalesque Theory

Carnivalesque theory was elaborated by Mikhail Bakhtin in his work Rabelais and his world:carnival and grotesque.Because of openness and inclusiveness in this theory,also owing to it closly integrated with literary texts under the Bakhtin’s study,researchers after Bakhtin extened the category of the study of carnivalesque theory.They also were active for applying carnivalesque theory to literature text criticism.Female writers in their writings try to subvert existing phallogocentrism and construct the ideal and diversified blueprint of gender wich are coincide with carnivalesque theory.Various text strategies maturely applied in western female writers’ literature texts after 1970 s highlight that’s nessary to use carnivalesque theory to study, such as parody,thinking highly of expressing the physical desire and pursuing the pluralism.Taking the carnivalesque theory as the perspective, should know well carnivalesque theory firstly. Based on the carnivalesque theory, we should grab various forms of carnivalesque theory, and explore the deep spirit of carnivalesque theory which is dualism of subversion and reconstruction, plural equalism.Besides; we should combine various forms of carnivalesque theory and its spiritual essence. By using various texts as enlightenment, we can comprehend many manifestations of carnivalesque theory better. According to define the female writers’ texts category, point out appeals of subversion and reconstruction in female writers’ texts. We could know feasibility of using carnivalesque theory to study female writers’ texts by various strategies in those texts after 1970 s.After ascertaining the feasibility, analyze the differences and similarities of expressions of parody and physical desire by female writers specifically from the aspect of carnival expressions, and reveal the appealing to overturn and reconstruct. However, we should proceed from analyzing the text comprehensively, based on carnivalesque theory to reveal the profound meanings of carnivalesque characteristics in texts.
