Tang-Song Dynasty is the second peak period of the development of China’s ancient commodity economy, of which the commodity production and exchange in this period has been more active, and a series of profound changes have occurred in the field of currency finance. Commercial credit, rural credit, government credit are intertwined, and mutual influence, which opened a new chapter of in the economic history of ancient China credit economy. Bianqianchao of Song Dynasty which was changed from the Feiqian of Tang Dynasty and the credit of negotiable instruments constitute, such as Chayanchao are all the symbol of the rapid development credit economy of the Northern Song Dynasty. The research of Bianqianchao, Chayanchao and their relationship has great significance for the study of monetary and financial history, credit and economic history of Song Dynasty.In recent years, Rich results have been made by the senior scholars about the Bianqianchao and Chayanchao, but few of them made a research about the relationship between Bianqianchao and Chayanchao. In this these, we make a comparison of the similarities and differences and the relationship of Bianqianchao and Chayanchao. And then to discuss the features of monetary form of Bianqianchao and Chayanchao in the course of history gradually combined together gradually of the Northern Song Dynasty. And then elaborate the history of the evolution of monetary circulation pattern of the "money and note" in the Northern market from Song. Based on these analyses, we make a discussion about the status of Bianqianchao and Chayanchao in the economic, political, military and other aspects of the Northern Song Dynasty.This paper is divided into six parts:The introduction mainly combs and sums up the research on the Northern Song Dynasty Bianqianchao and Chayanchao, which illustrate the research field, topic basis, research methods and research value.The first chapter mainly combs and analysis the similarities and differences of Bianqianchao and Chayanchao. In the simple exposition of the origin of them, we comes out that there are many obvious similarities and differences between them on the nature, motivation, management institutions.In the second chapter, based on the research of the similarities and differences between Bianqianchao and Chayanchao, we explore the mutually complementary and alternative of Bianqianchao and Chayanchao in the Northern Song Dynasty government economic initiatives. This relationship is mainly reflected in the Northern Song Dynasty government monopoly system, cross regional wealth transfer, northern military action and so on.The third chapter focuses on the functional currency of Bianqianchao and Chayanchao in the process of economic and social development from the monetary and financial history point of view, and the trend of monetary development. The Bianqianchao and Chayanchao were combined gradually in the late Northern Song Dynasty and make a great influence to taking shape of the Chao money.In the fourth chapter, on the basis of the former three chapters, we explore the economic, political and military status of Bianqianchao and Chayanchao in the Northern Song Dynasty.The conclusion part, we sum up the paper. Elucidating there are many similarities and differences, and shows complex relationship of Bianqianchao and Chayanchao in Northern Song Dynasty. And these characteristics and relationship is objective existence in the Northern Song Dynasty. And In different periods of time, Bianqianchao and Chayanchao shows different features also had an important position in the field of monetary and financial history of Northern Song Dynasty.
