In the contemporary interactive video exhibition, in order to make their creation have a feeling of impact and experience, designers and artists often use the new high technology and mixed media to assist their creation, or in some places like the public cultural exhibition hall and cultural experience museum. To enhance the commercial value, they copy the existing readily available technology directly and mechanically applied to their creation. And with the development of the exper iential economy, on the one hand, experiential consumption has become the mainstream of the consumption patterns, and consumers pay more attention to the experience; On the other hand, with the pursuit of spiritual level, cultural consumption and emotional experience has been gradually respected by people.However, when people face the works without the emotion, they cannot understand the meaning of the mixed media information instantly, thus it can only be regarded as show off technology. Especially in the communication design of cultural, excessively depending on technology from the stack, people cannot obtain the cultural connotation and valid emotional experience, and it is common in contemporary interactive communication design. How to make a reasonable combination of technology, culture and art, how to design an emotional experience-oriented work, how to guide people to experience the culture immediately, is the key point of this study. Obviously, it is just temporary entertainment consumption when blindly using the high technology, but not combining with the art conception and design theme to make two mutual penetrate and connect perfectly.This paper aims at emotional experience, analyz es the problems which are encountered in the design of interactive video installation, proposes communication design method which uses the interactive video installation art mixed media, applies in the communication design field which itself has the emotional elements of the intangible cultural heritage, and maximiz es the transformation of the value realization. Through the selection of interactive video installation and mixture of media communication design, it uses the most appropriate mixed mode and technology, reconstructs the cultural and emotional scene, and realizes the equal “dialogue” between the bearer of culture, the viewer and the designers. Through the “interaction and communicate”, it establishes the emotion and reach a consensus, thereby enhancing the cultural identity, improving the traditional experience of communication design, and establishing a new rapid emotional touch experience.The innovation of this paper lies in: first of all, it discusses the framework of emotional experience through the researches of the related theories which is about the process of the emotional experience, and combine s with interactive video installation design cases which is emotional experience-oriented. Then, according to the extracted framework of emotional experience process, it puts forward a kind of interactive video installation design layers which are cultural emotional experience-oriented. Finally, based on the above research conclusion and extraction of NUO cultural feature, it applies it in interactive video installation design which use s the NUO Culture communication design as the practice object, from the three aspects: the design of attract level, interactive level and experience level to complete the practice of the project.Design of interactive image installation is the production combin ing technology and art. How to communicate design which is emotional experience-oriented, how to combines technology and art organically in the design of image communication, how to seek a balance point in the commerce and culture, are the problems which designers and artists should think about in their creation.
