Writings Under The Leadership Of Classical Awareness-Research On Xu Zechen’s Novels

The subject of this paper is to discuss Xu Zechen’s novel and prose, and analyzes the characteristics of his writing under the classical awareness and the significance of his writing to the contemporary literary world. The body of the paper includes three parts:The first part is to analyze the value orientation of Xu Zechen in his writing. This paper argues that Xu Zechen adheres to the "humanized aesthetic" value orientation, is embodied in three aspects:Firstly, his writings highlight the" subject "characteristics of the characters, embodied in three aspects:the characters in his writings having a ability of looking at the world, the characters having the ability of looking into themselves, the characters could stick to their beliefs; Secondly, Xu Zechen melts his personal experience into his writings, namely, to express his thoughts about the relationship of "individual and city" "individual an his homeland" combined with his life experience in rural an city Thirdly, Xu Zechen uses "life feeling" as rule of writing,and he stresses that not to judge but to show the differences between the individuals. Those reflects Xu Zechen persisting on originality and ideology in writing.His writings are in stark contract to kitsch writings and hypocritical writings.The second part is to analyze the features of Xu Zhechen’s writings in narrative And the features include narrative mode, narrative perspective narrative strategies. The paper argues that the features of Xu Zechen’s writing in narrative is melt the "classic" into "modern". And that embodies as inheriting the pattern of "Return" of modern Chinese literature,at the same time, give the new meaning of "Hometown" combining with the reality of the present; In terms of narrative perspective, he select the point of view of fixed inside focuses and to realized the multiple narrative; In terms of narrative strategy, a large of blank narrative is used. These reflect that Xu Zechen insisted on the scale of the literary classic, and pursue "various possibilities in interpretation of works"The third part is to analyze text style of Xu Zechen’s writings. The paper argues that the texts are of poetic characteristics, and it reflects in three aspects:Firstly, simple language, embodied as restraint, concise and accurate expression; Secondly, the soothing rhythm of the narrative, embodies as the presentation of the daily life in term of the content and the repetition and change in sentence patterns; Thirdly,the "poetic" style, embodies as the poetic image, the defamiliarization expression and narrative lyric. Xu Zechen tell the stories about ordinary people in simple language and the the soothing rhythm. And that makes his texts full of poetry. Actually it reflects that Xu Zechen adhere to use the literature to express what he think about the reality and it different from the writings that writers focus on all kinds of wonders and human’s desires.
