Studies about implicit beliefs of emotion is largely based on western cultural background, but few is under the background of Chinese culture, and foreign study only used questionnaire survey, lacking of experimental research and physical research. This study will combine questionnaire and physical experiment, from two aspects of behavior and physiology, to explore the relationship between implicit beliefs of emotion and emotion, emotion regulation in China. It will help us have a deeper understanding of the emotional problems and provide a reference for emotional problems’ intervention. This research is divided into two parts. The first part is questionnaire research. We will use the Implicit Beliefs about Emotion Scale, Positive and Negative Affect Schedule-Expanded Form and the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire to conduct a survey among 650 students of Ningxia University, so as to survey the distribution proportion of different implicit beliefs of incremental theories and entity theories in China, and explore the relationship between implicit beliefs of emotion and emotion, emotion regulation. The second part is experimental research. We will select 30 girls of incremental theories and 30 girls of entity theories as subjects, and use negative feedback task to trigger the participants’ negative emotions, use MP150 recording system to record the physiological data including skin temperature, heart rate and galvanic skin response, use subjective mood report questionnaire to measure participants’ subjective emotional experience, use reaction checklist to measure the degree of emotion regulation of subjects, to explore the difference between incremental theorists and entity theorists in subjective report, physiological reaction, emotional resilience and the degree of emotion regulation in the process of negative emotions. So as to confirm the conclusions of the first part, and provide physical basis for them. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) People of entity theories have more negative emotions and less positive emotions than people of incremental theories.(2) People of entity theories have more emotion regulation strategies to enhance their negative emotions than people of incremental theories.
