The rapid development of globalization and the wide international communication result in a great demand for cultural communication in various aspects. Under this context, non-literary text secures the larger domain of the translation market. The increasing demands for communication also put up a new quality standard to non-literary translation. This report attempts to view non-literary translation from the perspective of translation aesthetics. Based on the translation aesthetics theory and exemplified by the translation project of World-Class Education, the report endeavors to summarize the process of an actual translation practice under the perspective of translation aesthetic and present it in an organized manner. This report is comprised of four chapters. In chapter One, some basic information of the translation project and this report are provided. Chapter Two is literature review of the perspective of translation aesthetics, which lays a theoretic foundation for this report, including the development and main contents of translation aesthetics. Chapter Three applies the theory of translation aesthetics to the translation of non-literary text. This chapter elaborates the translation process, and can be put in to two parts; the first part exams the aesthetic tropisms in non-literal translation, and the second concludes suitable translation strategies to achieve these tropisms; both parts are illustrated by the actual text from the translation project and with detailed analysis followed. In the end, the author draws conclusions and points out the limitation of this report and expectations for future translation practice.
