The Study Of Mo Yan’s Literary Concept

Literary concept derived from a unique personal experience with the dual role of the living environment, which is the underlying mechanism of the writer?s creation motivation and his literary practice. And it is this mental paradigm to make the art work present a distinctive personality characteristics, a unique language, the ways of thinking, and then formed a unique artistic concepts.This paper intended to point out Mo Yan?s literary concept via his own words talking about literature, the specific show during his writing and others research. Then re-construct his words about the author, the reading, the writing and other concept. I mean to put his unique experience into Chinese contemporary context, to resume his concept by combine his literature view and practice with the current literary phenomena and literary ecology. To reflecting Mo Yan?s unique concept, instead of regard him as the imitator underling the influence of the West?s modernism.Expecting the introduction and conclusion, this work consists of four chapters.The main content of the first chapter is to resume his concept about creation by analysis his work. The main concern of this chapter is the nature and the function of the literature, as well as its criterion and the relationship of politics. The chapter argues that Mo Yan was influenced by both the Western and the Eastern, but due to his own experience and the restriction of his concept, there still exists three stages of his creation. This chapter will carry on research by the three different but rheological periods of concepts.The second chapter focuses on the audio-visual experience of the individual?s experience. Trying to point out Mo Yan?s practice of against alienation, effort to restore daily/civil beauty which performed as the existed of “body” by discussing the unique experience that formed the aesthetic trait and its artistic expression. Wherein, in the process of exploration, MO Yan incorporated the tradition of the West ?Narcissism? and oriental tradition ?Eco?(stacked rhyme). He created a folk-mode which is the combination of Chinese context by representation the real life. Its way of exploring new materials and re-thinking history has a guiding significance.The third chapter relates to Mo Yan?s judgment about the value of literature, discussing with the writer?s self-awareness and needing, the definition of literary genres and writing standard, trying to obtain basic overview of Mo Yan?s judgment. On the basis of the first three chapters, the conclusion trying to figure out the world significance of Mo Yan’s literary concept, and incidentally indicate the direction of literature development.
