Research On Material Texture Language And Aesthetic Characteristics

Landscape plays a role of reconciling a rapid pace of life in today’s quick industrialized development. Material texture is a vital part of environment ceramic art,and it expresses the connotation of landscape in a vivid way. Material texture language is a synthesis of texture and skin, and the display form of quality feeling. It is a direct-viewing stimulation to people and one of the optical centers in environmental ceramic arts. A nice texture gives us an impulsion to gently stroke and excite our imaginary feeling of touching.The process of making ceramic texture is an integration of water, soil and fire, or a course of fat clay which records people’s operation. This paper first understands the ceramic material and the concept, classification, characteristics and functions of texture,then analyzes the constitution form, expression and creating techniques of texture, and guides to practice in the end. This kind of frame structure is a scientific research method of theory guides practice.By researching and analysis practicing of environmental ceramic texture theory, the author deems that the raw material or theme of ceramic texture creation should “obtain materials from local sources”. The texture results which are produced in this way coordinate and unify the humanities environment and natural environment. It accords to the theme of our times and natural and simple value orientation which human beings pursue, and it gives play to affinity of ceramic material and infection of arts.
