This thesis, through the method of case study, aims at analyzing the influence of memory pressure on the production of interpreters and proposing coping strategies. To better illustrate the significance of memory pressure, the theory of Gile’s Model and analysis on the influence of different types of memories on production are included in this paper. The memory pressure will be divided according to its origins, which includes time length, insufficient knowledge, unfamiliar expressions and tension. Accordingly, the coping strategies are achieving longer attention span, world knowledge accumulation, individualized expression list and practicing under high pressure.From the analysis, author concluded that with proper methods, memory pressure can be reduced in interpreting process and support interpreters to have batter performance. |
