An Analysis Of The Exaggerated Designing And Expression Techniques In Animation

Exaggerated designing in animation is a special artistic form to present its plot, characters, actions and expressions of the figures as well as the color of the scene. Through the exaggerated designing of the character, his performance and the scene color in the animation Home, and its combinative application of the traditional hand-drawn animation theory and the software Flash, this thesis is trying to provide an example for 2D animation with an exaggerated digital painting technique.The main tasks of this thesis are as follows:1. It analyses the designing concept of exaggerated visual style in animation. Based on the appreciation and study of the previous animation works, it gives emphasis on the exaggerated designing of the character, plot, actions and expressions of the figures as well as the color of the scene, and vividly conveys the theme of the designing.2. It discusses the combination of the traditional hand-drawn animation theory with the new media digital technology, that is, the application of the traditional hand-drawn animation theory and the digital technology of Flash as an expression technique, and thus provides a thorough and specific presentation of the significance and potential of the exaggerated designing in animation.3. By designing and implementing the animation Home, it verifies the artistic effectiveness of combining the traditional hand-drawn theory with the digital media technology.
