The Research Of The Ocean Environment Conservation Law

With the development of global economy, Ocean becomes the most important way torelate all the countries together by international trade. The conservation of the oceanenvironment becomes one of the vital problems in environment protection law. More andmore countries and regions enacted the legislation in this field with the need of the practice,and so we are. However, the work of law enforcement in daily life has many handicaps withthe limitation of it. This paper cite the case of Oil Leakage by the Corporation ofConocophillips to disclose the problem of Ocean environment law and try to give someadvice form the aim of the law, and the system construction which meet the difficulties inreality.This paper is divided into three parts:The first chapter “The legal basis to deal with ConocoPhillips oil spill” which clear thequalification of the subject and define the polluter’s legal liability in accordance with therelated laws.The second chapter “The defect of the conservation of the ocean environment law”propose that the ideology of the legislation is inappropriate, and there are flaws of the law.The third Chapter “The suggestion of the conservation of the ocean environment law”puts forward some suggestions to regulate the pollution of the ocean environment, and try tomake our conservation of the ocean environment law more applied in reality.
