In the digital age, the Internet copyright issues have become more and moreimportant. As a new force in the Internet industry, the copyright issues plaguevideo-sharing websites since its inception. By using the video-sharing websites,users could share the Internet videos conveniently, but also caused some copyrightinfringement. The Internet users spread unlicensed videos by the video-sharingwebsites, which have harmed the copyright owner, leds to numerous disputes.Copyright infringement issues have become a important issue in the video-sharingwebsite development.This paper contains four chapters, in the first describes the theory ofvideo-sharing website copyright infringement, and then combined with thelegislative status of the domestic video-sharing website copyright infringement anddisadvantages and foreign related copyright legislation overview, to find out somebeneficial enlightenments of copyright protection for our country, and finally givessome suggestions to regulate video-sharing website copyright infringement, throughthe above content to do a more comprehensive study of video-sharing websitecopyright infringement. Each chapter is organized as follows: The first partdescribes the emergence and development of video-sharing websites, defines theconcept and feature of video-sharing websites; then discusses the theory ofvideo-sharing website copyright infringement detailedly, by analyzing the legalstatus of video-sharing websites to elicit the nature of its infringement responsibilityis indirect infringement, through analysis the concept and type of the indirectinfringement, theoretical basis, principles of responsibility and exemptions tocomprehensively understand the indirect infringement responsibility ofvideo-sharing website. The second part starting from the current situation of ourcountry, summarizing the status of legislation on the video-sharing website copyright infringement and some problems in our country. The third part throughtypical legislative overviews of several foreign countries on the video-sharingwebsite copyright infringement to analysis to find reference points for us. The fourthpart based on the foregoing analysis and discussion, has made some suggestions toregulate the video-sharing website for copyright infringement.
