Yan’an intellectuals refer to those who congregated in Yan’an in the30s to40sof the20th century and devoted themselves to the party’s theoretical work and basecultural construction. During this group, AiSiqi, ZhangrRuxin, Fan Wenlan,YangZuixiang, DingLing, HeJingzhi were believed as the main representatives.These intellectuals were advanced in ideology, gradually step by step acceptedMarxism and Mao Zengdong theory in the practice, and came true the thoughtrebuilt by themselves. During their revolutionary practice, they were combined withworkers and peasants to push forward the popularization of Marxism. Based on thedocuments which were about Yan’an intellectuals, this paper explores the mainpractice path, history background and modern enlightenment which were used inpromoting the popularization of Marxism by these intellectuals in Yan’an period.This dissertation contains: the introduction, the main body and epilogue. Theintroduction, clarify the significance of the dissertation, analyzes the researchapproach and comments on the current research situations, introduces themethodologies of the dissertation, and defines the concepts about “Yan’an Period”,“Yan’an intellectuals”. And the body contains three parts:The first part, talks about the history background of Yan’an intellectualspromoting he popularization of Marxism in China. In this period, the intellectualsrushed to Yan’an, and formed a unique group, the intellectuals in this group aredifferent from these in the past, who have their own distinctive features; Partystationed in Yan’an, recognized the importance of the Marxist theory work, andintroduced an important proposition which named”Marxism in China ",and at thesame time, the party’s theoretical work faced many difficulties when they carried out;Through the study of Marxist basic theory knowledge, the history of the Chineserevolution, the History of the Chinese Communist Party, and participate in the party’srectification campaign, Yan’an intellectuals greatly improved the theoreticalattainment, completed the transformation of ideas, and achieved growth andreinventing by themselves.The second part is the focal point of this article, which discusses the practicalpath of Yan’an intellectuals promoted the popularization of Marxism. And it is also very important for us today to promotethe popularization and times of Marxism in the future.
