Rural E-government Study For Rongchang County Of Chongqing City

E-government is enlarging its existences among administrative departments as aconsequence of the rapid development of information technology. However, there aredifferences between urban and rural areas in regard of the growth of e-government.Urban administrative staffs are released from the heavy and repetitive affairs underthe aid of paperless working and its provided high-efficient and one-stop services.Meanwhile, urban residents are enjoying the convenience brought by e-government.While in rural areas, especially amidst the Midwest of China, it is far short ofblossom for e-government.Chongqing, as the only municipality located at west part of China and directlyunder the control of central government, whose growth will immediately impose animpact on the whole westward area. And the development of Chongqing’se-government is a major aspect in consideration of the growing of Chongqing, whichwill directly affect the overall political and economic environment. However, theurban and rural development unbalanced in e-government has also occupied a certaindegree within it, which means to study it not only benefit for reflecting urban andrural overall development states from a side view, but also promote the establishmentof city and countryside integration. Hence, there is a great significance in studyinge-government of Chongqing rural areas.With the regard of the differences in the development of e-government amongcounties of Chongqing, it is very difficult to comprehensively study thee-government of Chongqing rural areas. Therefore, this paper chooses the mostrepresentative Rongchang County as the subject, which by means of questionnairesurvey and field visit to deeply research the current states of e-government ofRongchang and in combination with references and systemization to relevantliteratures and analysis on collected informations to find out the problems in thedevelopment of its e-government and explore and analyze the reasons, eventuallybringing out corresponding policy suggestions.
