Injustice is the inevitable product of legal phenomena, grievance is one of the basic sources of the writer’s creative material. An injustice happened in Yuhang town, Zhejiang Province in the late Qing Dynasty—the sensational Adulteress case is one of the four mysteries in late Qing Dynasty, which passed down from the court to the people. Soon after the case was vindicated, a large number of literary works had come out, such as novels, plays, opera, etc. Movies in the1970’s, and TV series in the1990’s made the Adulteress cases widely know. Amongst, the novels of Huang Nanding and Lingyan Qiaozi on "the Adulteress" leaved greater impacts in the early, whose basic facts of the case were in line with the content. Various communities such as the newspaper "Shun Pao", and the lawmaking actively improved the development of the case, which made an indelible contribution to the vindication. As an interpretive method, novels affect the legal concept of the people. This paper aims at probing into the literature refactoring and cultural significance of the grievances in the late Qing Dynasty through the typical grievance case-the Adulteress case. Based on the Story of the Adulteress, the paper compares and analyzes the real case and the literature, and study the refactoring of the real case in literature, including the refactoring of the case fact (related to the fact itself), the legal facts (related to legal issues). Meanwhile, the cultural significance of literary fiction and contemporary thinking about remodeling injustice in grievances novels, and the benefits to the contemporary legal reforms in the judicial system are involved.In addition to the prolegomenon and conclusion, the research paper is divided into the following three parts:The first part of the paper inspects the injustice happened in Yuhang town, Zhejiang Province in the late Qing Dynasty, which narrates the legal facts of the Adulteress, including the formation of the Adulteress case, the trial process and the reasons for rectify. The press represented by "Shun Pao " reported the case and pushed forward vindication and public opinion the Adulteress case.The second part of the paper focuses on the analysis of refactoring of the novel based on the real case and legal fact, through the comparative analysis on the story of the Adulteress and the real case.The third part studies the significance of the literature considerations and refactoring by litterateurs. The boundary between the literature and law is crossed, this part analyzes the cultural psychology and cultural thinking and the value of literature from the perspective of cultural psychology, human history and aesthetic value of the literature as reflected in the grievances novels.The last part summarizes the paper and narrates the contemporary thinking about injustice, as well as analyzes the reasons for the formation of grievances, and explores effective measures to prevent injustice, which are helpful in judicial reform.
