As a sole superpower, the United States has played an important role on global affairs, regional affairs, especially in the region of Asian-Pacific. With Obama succeed as the president of the U.S. in the2012election; his administration putted forward the strategy of Rebalancing to Asia-Pacific. On the one hand, scholars or researchers are based on their own academic standpoints to analyze the strategy and have different conclusions. On the other hand, the running strategy has effect on security and regional situation of Asian-Pacific region. The analysis will help us to build academic consensus and reduce the academic differences, promote theoretical research, and it has greatly practical significance for us to research American Asian-Pacific strategy or foreign strategy.The thesis focuses on the American Asian-Pacific Rebalancing strategy and its impacts on China. There are five parts to the layout of the thesis. In the first part, we need to clarify the basic concepts of the strategy, which relate to two basic concepts,"Back to Asian-Pacific" and "Rebalancing". And then discuss on some theories which are related to the strategy of Rebalancing. In the second part, following evolutions of American Asian-Pacific strategy after the cold war, we want to describe the scissions of American Asian-Pacific strategy. Combining with the reality factors on the important position of Asian-Pacific region in international politics and economy, adjustment of American national strategy and emerging powers in Asian-Pacific region, we are discussing on background of American Asian-Pacific Rebalancing strategy and practical considerations. The third part is from the aspects of political, economic and security to analyze the main contents of American Asian-Pacific rebalancing strategy, its essence is to maintain American leadership in the Asian-Pacific region and expand American economic interests in the Asian-Pacific region. The fourth part describes the impact of American Asian-Pacific rebalancing strategy for China. The United State strengthens cooperation with Japan and South Korea, expands relations with ASEAN countries and supports India’s "Look East" strategy, so that it can balance China’s influence in the Asian-Pacific region. The U.S. also intervenes in the territorial disputes of Diaoyu Island between China and Japan, and the territorial disputes of South China Sea between China and ASEAN countries.
