Study On Problem And Countermeasure In Ideological Work For Retiree In Scientific Research Institute

Ideological and political works of retirees are important to the party’s organizational work. Retireesare the generation who experienced the most difficult period of socialist revolution and construction.They were tested by the hard time, but still have the firm spirit to our party. They enjoy the high prestigeamong the people and have a strong power of cohesion and rallying point. They are an important forcein the cause of socialist construction in the new period. Now, most of the elder comrades are still play animportant role in some other positions, even though they have left their original jobs. Their supports arethe essential guarantees for the party to make the work proceed smoothly and fulfill the strategic task inthe new century.The central task of the agricultural research institutes is to serve the agricultural research andinnovation and give scientific and technological support sufficiently in the social and economicdevelopment. Among retirees of agricultural research institutes, some are the former government leaders,some are senior agricultural experts, and some are exemplars in agricultural research. They arewell-versed, knowledgeable, skilled, experience-rich, noble character as a valuable spiritual wealth andstrong supporter for agricultural science and technology innovation. It is a problem worth considering toaccomplishing ideological and political work perfectly and arising enthusiasm of them.The representative retirees of Heilongjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences were investigated byquestionnaire survey and spot investigation on the basis of summarizing and analyzing the organizationsconstruction status of retirees. Literature analysis, statistical analysis comparative analysis and casestudies were used to study the status of individual natural situation, organizations, branch activity,ideological consciousness, the understanding of the policy and treatment satisfaction comprehensivelyand systematically, and to master the related situation of retirees in Agricultural Research Institutionswell.The results showed that the situation of retirees were very complex for their changing of age, body,and position. Retired agricultural researchers, especially over the age of70, experienced and witnessedthe development and changes of our society. They worked hard for agricultural research development inHeilongjiang Province or even in China. They cherish and are satisfied with the hard-won happy life.They support the leadership of the Communist Party and socialist construction. They have strong sensesof social responsibility and will to lead young people towards a better direction. They are concernedabout the current political, social hot spots, livelihood issues. They have strong sense of socialresponsibilities and willingness to make new contributions to the society.Negative factors which exist on retired agricultural researchers in the organization building werepointed out on the basic of summary of the surveys, such as more difficulties in the political andideological work for the retired party members’ branch of the education, much older branch secretariesand commissaries, difficulties for the members play the proper roles in the work. Suggestions thatproposed as following: adjusting should be taken in the branch structure; increasing financial support; smoothing the Party branch work; strengthening psychological counseling and humanistic care;enhancing long-term social helping system; sharing achievements of developing; establishing platformfor them to go on to jobs in retirement; organizing activities actively. These will have promotion effectson creating a smoother living environment for our senior comrades and purifying the social environmentfor them.
