During two Song Dynasties, with the development of commodity economy, the private landownership expanded on a large scale, as well as the legalization and liberalization of land deals furtherdeepened, resulting in land disputes emerged widely and frequently."Shu Pan Qing Ming Ji" as a collectionof verdict essays about real case, which recorded a large number of verdict about disputes on land deals.This thesis mainly focus on the verdict essays on the "Shu Pan Qing Ming Ji", discourses upon thesolution of disputes on land deals in the Song Dynasties with two aspects: the litigation and non litigation,reveals the characteristics of the times which reflected from the solution of disputes on land deals. Thisthesis is divided into three chapters minus introduction and conclusion.The first chapter mainly introduces the background, types and procedures of the land deals in the SongDynasties. The leading causes of the frequent land deals include the development of privatization of land,changes of values, expansion of the scope of civil subject. The main procedures of land deals in the SongDynasties include making contract, tax issues and messes visit and so on.The second chapter focuses on the analysis of the solution of disputes on land deals, includinglitigation and non litigation. Among them, litigation including land disputes among the folks, relatives,and disputes between folks and bullies. Non litigation settlement including civil mediation and officialmediation.The third chapter emphasizes the characteristics of the times reflected from the solution of disputes onland deals. The solution of disputes on land deals in the Song Dynasties has three main features: themoderate of patriarchal style; procedures of land deals procedural and normalized;full protection of owner.
