The Analysis Of The Factors Of Criminal Rate Of Sichuan Province

Crime is a derogatory term in ancient times at home and abroad. Crime has seriously affected the social order but also destroyed the happiness and stability of people’s lives. After the reform and opening up, China’s economy has entered a stage of development by leaps and bounds, people’s living standards than before the reform and opening up has been a qualitative improvement, however, the problem has cropped up, such as a sharp rise in the crime rate is one example. From1979the number of criminal cases began after more than600,000cases per year, the number of criminal offenses are increasing. The number of criminal offenses in2011and2012reached6,004,951and6,551,440from starting such a large number, so we can not help but ask:what causes produce so many criminal?Some studies criminology expert give a brief explanation on this issue, it is a criminal offense in the major factors including economic, cultural, political, and offenders themselves and so on. In1968, the "father of modern economics, crime," known as the Becker to develop a new approach to the study of crime is by drawing on economics approach to their research. He pointed out that development economics is unprecedented, but the great economic development and to become a science, not because the object of study, but because it uses analytical methods. But in our country, for the study of criminal offenses are basically areas of study criminal law, so whether it is for investment funds institute staff are still relatively limited, which led directly to the foreign country compared to lag behind in this regard. For the advanced experience from abroad criminal research point of view, especially the use of econometric economics is extremely effective for the study of criminal offenses and its influencing factors, so, in this paper, the choice is to use an econometric study of each of Sichuan Province regional differences in rates of criminal offenses and its influencing factors. Analyzing the impact of various factors on the rate of criminal offenses in order to reduce the criminal rate in all regions of Sichuan Province has important significance. This paper aims to study the differences in the rate of criminal offenses in all regions of Sichuan Province and its influence factors, so the paper selected21areas of Sichuan Province(18prefecture-level cities, three autonomous prefectures)in2004-2012criminal rate as the dependent variable, then select21regional per capita GDP, the floating population ratio, the level of urbanization, population density, sex ratio, the gap between urban and rural areas, education, social security level eight elements as explanatory variables for analysis. Analysis model selection panel data model and result influence of various factors on the criminal rate.Each of the specific content are as follows:The first chapter describes the background to the topic of this article, and then studied literature at home and abroad on the crime were reviewed, and proposed the idea and significance of this study.The second chapter describes the reasons for the rate of criminal offenses arising, then the country and Sichuan in2004-2012criminal case descriptive statistics.The third chapter describes the various regional differences in the rate of criminal offenses in Sichuan Province and its main method factors studied the theoretical basis of the previous two chapters, and then introduces the practical effectiveness of the panel data, and explain eight indicators:personal GDP, the floating population ratio, the level of urbanization, population density, sex ratio, the gap between urban and rural areas, education, social security levels.The fourth chapter is an empirical study of the criminal rate between21regions of Sichuan Province and its influencing factors empirical analysis and commentary panel data model results. The fifth chapter, according to the panel data model results made the fourth chapter, which suits the needs of Sichuan Province, how to reduce the rate of criminal offenses and the paper’s shortcomings.Features of this paper are:First, the study of criminal offenses from the method, the mere study of literature is certainly a lot of crime, but some merely study the overall crime rate, some research on the property, such as crime, the use of econometric methods to the factors affecting the rate of criminal offenses to analyze literature and even less, with a panel study is one of the few, and the arguments of the few scholars using the panel model selected few, while the choice of eight from this study variable factors, either select models from,or are largely to ensure the scientific validity of the findings from the theoretical approach from the selection of the independent variables.Second, the paper selected data as of2012, from this point of view, this study to ensure that the latest data, but also to ensure the timeliness of the study results.Third, the domestic criminal offenses for basic research is currently confined to the country’s macroeconomic analysis, but because of the many provinces of the country, the situation of each province also has a big difference, therefore, analyzed separately for each province is particularly important. The object of this paper is to study the various regions of Sichuan Province, from the more microscopic aspects of the study is to ensure that the results of scientific rationality.
