| Evaluation of compliance, as a set of standardized work processes and management methods, has been widely used in many fields such as environmental engineering and information security, and its role is to conduct periodic evaluation of enterprise’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The evaluation of enterprise’s compliance can help it reduce the violation risk, but is also conducive to the supervision department to timely discover the problems of the regulated industry, timely take measures, improve, and achieve continuous improvement effect.China has a long history in terms of processing, using of ivory and its products, and has formed a unique culture of ivory carving. For a long time, as the protection of elephants is one of the focus of wild animal resources problem in the world, our ivory carving industry will inevitably attract wide attention from the international community. Ivory carving industry’s compliance with relevant laws and regulations, in a certain extent, influences whether our country will continue to get the import qualification of ivory raw materials.This study attempts to introduce compliance evaluation system into the ivory carving industry, and to evaluate the domestic Ivory processing enterprise compliance level. After researching on the domestic laws and regulations of ivory carving industry management and other requirements, in reference to the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method, combined with the Delphi method, this paper creates the compliance evaluation system of ivory carving industry. Establishment of ivory carving industry compliance evaluation system contributes to improving the efficiency of the regulation of the departments of ivory markets, to urging enterprises enhance the level of self-discipline and avoid offending risk, to promoting the transfer of relevant policy information, and to encouraging enterprises to consciously undertake the mission of ivory carving culture inheritance. |
