Russian nationalism is a character which Russian people are born with. When it wasintruded by other races, they united together to fight against the intruders. With the rise ofRussia, nationalism transforms into Great Russian chauvinism, Great-power chauvinism andnational egoism. After the Soviet disintegrated, the national economy has been in the state ofstagnation and Russian nationalism has been a wave of political mind to arouse the mass thefaith and the memories of great ancient thriving nation which made the mass reunited togetherdue to the pride of the nation.The paper focuses on the influence and constrains of the Russian nationalism onSino-Russian relationship. In the second chapter, a series of historic events have beenreviewed like the sign of the Sino-Soviet treaty of alliance and mutual aid, the Korean War,the20thCongress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. With the comb of the events,the impacts of Russian nationalism on Sino-Soviet relationship and the negative effects onSino-Russian relationship have been analyzed. In Chapter three, to start with thedisintegration of Soviet Union and negative situation of Russia home and broad, the negativeinfluence of Russian nationalism on the Sino-Russian relationship has been discussed duringthe analysis of Balance Diplomatic and Sino-Threat.Finally, in the conclusion, the author’s ideas towards the Sino-Russian relationship hasbeen drew, pointing out that we still can not ignore the hazard factor—Russian nationalism,though we still keep the benign bilateral relationship. Due to the constraints of Russiannationalism, it will bring some constraint elements to the Sino-Russian relationship whenRussia chases the maximum on diplomatic relationship.
