| The personal wealth management service in commercial banks, in nature, belongs to theintermediate business. It is the innovation of retail banking business when commercial banks,whose traditional banking business profitability is declining, are confronted with both survivaland market competition pressures. The personal wealth management service in commercialbanks can maintain client base, improve its competitive strength, and also help clientsmaintain or increase the value of their personal as well as family assets. However, it can’t beignored that the legal risks that commercial banks are facing in this service has largelybottlenecked the development of personal wealth management. Based on fundamentalresearches on the personal wealth management service, this thesis has fully analyzed the legalrisks in the process of its market access, product development and design, product publicityand after-sales service. The causes of the legal risks are also explored.
