The Research On Supply And Demand Of Elderly Home Care Service By The Community In Small And Medium-sized Cities

In the early21st century, our country has entered an aging society, and is stillgrowing. The elderly pension problems as an important problem in social managementinfluence wide and deep and need to be solved. Community home endowment servicemode is a middle pattern of family endowment and institution endowment, whicheffectively integrates family endowment and institution endowment resources. Its costis lower than the institutions endowment and service is better than the family pension,and it has been operating in domestic cities, regions. It has a good developmentforecast for it can effectively alleviate the current endowment trouble and it will be themain mode of domestic old-age. However, small and medium-sized cities as importantcomponents of our country, community home endowment service develops lately andslowly. Supply-demand research should be done to know the reason and take effectivemeasures to help the development of community home endowment service. Jiaxing is atypical small and medium-sized city which is adjacent to Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou. Its aging problem is serious, especially Nanhu district as the downtown area of Jiaxingcity. It is representative to choose Nanhu district as the object to study the supply anddemand of community home endowment service in domestic small and medium-sizedcity.This paper introduces the research background, research purpose and meaning,reviews and research ideas and research methods. First, it explores the theoretical basisof supply and demand of community home endowment service which is expounded inthree aspects: one is clearly defined the connotation, property, service contents ofcommunity home endowment service; second, based on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs(Maslow) and "needs" theory, in accordance with the requirements hierarchy from lowto high, the needs of the community home endowment service is divided into life careneeds, medical care, emotional needs and is introduced respectively in this paper. Third,based on the welfare pluralism theory, the community home endowment service supplymain body is divided into five elements,the government, families, social organizations,communities and enterprises, and fully discuss the different responsibility boundaryand functions. Then, carry out the questionnaire survey to the elderly living in thedistrict. Through the statistical analysis of received questionnaire, combining with theinvestigation thorough information acquired by visiting the elderly family and theinformation from other ways, in-depth analysis of demand of community homeendowment service in Jiaxing Nanhu district is conducted. Next, through visitingJiaxing Nanhu district neighborhood offices, the civil affairs bureau, the elderlyconcentrated area and consulting documents and so on to analyze the supply status of community home endowment service in Nanhu district of Jiaxing from the supplypolicy, supply main body and source of funds, supply content. And then, as comparedto demand and supply, it is concluded that at present the supply and demand are notbalance in Jiaxing Nanhu district, and expounds the cause of imbalance betweensupply and demand and the existing problems, and finally puts forward the feasiblesolutions.
