The development of western China has always been of vital importance to thewell-rounded development of China. Being a fundamental national policy, the WestDevelopment Strategy aims to boost the economic development of the West andeliminate the difference between the East and the West so as to achieve social justice.The essence of the development in Western China lies in the guiding of the nationalpolicies as well the intelligence supports. And the cultivation of intelligence hasalways been national key support projects. Therefore, it is of crucial importance topay more attention to the career orientation as well as career pioneering of the youthsin Western China. The communist youth league of Western China carries on theobligation to guide youths in their career orientation. Therefore, this paper focuses onthe study of the roles the Communist Youth League plays in the career orientation andpioneering of youths.Given the special geological and historical peculiarities of the west, theorganizational constructing of the Western Communist Youth League has manyproblems such as poor organizations or circulation of League members, all of theseproblems hamper the work of the Communist Youth League in its promoting thecareer orientation and career pioneering of youths in the west.
