The conflict in Syria has been lasting for more than 4 years since March 2011. Syrian president Bashar al-Assad has surprisingly turned the tides and gained a huge strategic advance, military success on key battles and political triumph on 2014 presidential election. The victory resulted from some reasons, but Iranian aids worked more significantly.The first part makes a simple introduction of Syria. Its geographical location and leader’s wisdom enables Syria to be an important player in the region. The second part narrates the development of the conflict. Bashar president gained military advantage over the rebels and political win of 2014 president election. The third part introduces the reasons of Iranian assistance to Syria, which includes historical alliance, religious bonds and ante on nuclear negotiation. The fourth part expounds Iran’s detailed assistance, including military facility support, political and peaceful solution on the conflict. And the final part analyses the pros and cons for Iran’s policy. Iran managed Bashar regime in power, but worsened the relations with its neighbors and become more isolated.
