The end of ninety’s of last century, the east and north of Guangdong have boomed up a new kind of gambing, called underground mark-six, very close to Hong Kong mark six but illegal. It was spreading quickly among rural area with its hightly deceptive and temptatious characteristics. It also swallowed large amounts of money. This phenomenon seriously violated civil right of the ownership’s property, corrode people’s thought, and corrupt social morality. Criminal law is one of the effective means to combat with the underground mark six.The phenomenon was caused by many reasons, but the writer thinks the most important reason should be inaccurately definition of judicial. In the traditional judicial practices, most of the cases were convicted as illegally operation or gambling. The author thinks it should be questioned theoretically, it’s not good at suppressing dealers and protecting players. Therefore, this essay has chosen Zhengrong Yang’s case as an example, through the careful research and personal investigation in Guangdong province, completely dissecting the organization structure and operation mode of the underground mark six. Hope this essay can provide any new thoughts to the law against underground mark six. At the end of the article, the author put forward some suggestion about how to govern the underground mark six.
