The Challenges And Countermeasures Study Of Adhering To The Party’s Mass Line In The New Period

The mass line is the vivid reflection of historical materialism, and it is one of the living souls of Mao Zedong thought. It summarized from the experience of Chinese Communist’s long-term revolution and construction, the mass line, our party’s cardinal political route and organized route, is the basis method of leadership and work. The mass line presents some new characteristics and its implements are facing new challenges, as China has entered into a period of social and economic transition. At present, the whole party are studying and implementing the Guiding Principles of the Eighteenth National Congress. We should conduct the in-depth education practice mainly under the theme:“For the people, pragmatism, incorruptness” and complete the mass work carefully in the new period.This paper is at the basis of the Marxist historical materialism, sociological theory and the scientific generalization of the mass line. It summaries the party’s new understanding and development of the mass line since the Reform and Opening-up. Problems that involve with adhering to the mass line of the party are analyzed in details. The paper puts forward the new countermeasures of developing the mass line and the way to face new challenges. This article consists of five parts.The first part is the introduction: illustrate the background, significance, main research contents and research status in the domestic and overseas. The second part is the theoretical basis of the research in the mass line: clear out the relevant theories and concepts. The third part is the development of party’s mass line in the new period: state the new understanding of every generation of central collective leadership. Meanwhile, it discusses the theoretical development in the mass line. The fourth part introduce the challenges that adhering to the mass line’s facing: based in the new period of Reform and Opening-up, it summarizes the new features that exist in the mass line. Through case study, find out the problems involving adhering to the mass line. The fifth part is the strategy of adhering to the mass line in the new period. Aiming at the existing problems, it puts forward the all-around measures and advice to adhere to the mass line.
