"People-oriented" is the essence of Marx’s humanistic thought. Marx thought that individual who has real life is the precondition of the existence and development of human society. Based on Marx’s humanistic thought and according to the actual situation of China, CPC and the central government of China put forward the concept of scientific people-oriented development in order to fully recognized the subject position of people in the society and to argue that all social activities should let "person" as the starting point and the foothold, meet the needs of people in all aspects, safeguard the fundamental interests of most people and promote their all-round development.Community construction is the basis of the new urbanization, the important device to promote the transition of our government function, whiling does adapt to the new time trends. Our country is in the key period transforming from high speed development o f economy to the healthy and stable development, kinds of social contradictions and social problems are arising, especially there are more and more kinds of problems related to residents’key interests in communities, so communities become centers of many social problems and contradictions. Now people-oriented community construction in our country has an irreplaceable role in development of our society.Based on the above Marx humanistic ideas, this article develops one ideal goal of humanistic community through studying Marx’s humanistic thought guidance for China’s modernization, and applying this thought to the current Chinese community construction. Then, according to the ideal goal, this study reviews existing achievements and problems of community construction of today china, and ends with putting forward a series of Suggestions for the development of "people-oriented" community.
