Minority customary law of social organization in our country, rich in content, involving all aspects of social life about ethnic compatriots, is an important part of the minority nationalities’ customary laws in our country. However, the Yi nationality in Guangxi due to geographical and population factors, is often ignored in the study of customary law, and the research about the customary law of the social organization is even fewer. Based on this, this paper will take the Yi nationality of Napo in Guangxi as a case, makes an in-depth investigation and research about its customary law of the social organization, trying to fill in the blanks in the study, and I hope it can contribute to the national harmony and local legal system construction. In this study, Yi’s customary law of social organization is descriptive narrated from the perspective of legal anthropology, its content consists of two major cluster organizations----the Jiazhi system which is regard as “foundation” and the council system as “substance” in common law of social organization. Together they form a complete picture of Yi’s customary law of social organization, standardize behavior patterns of ethnic people, shouldering the social management in Yi areas, and establish an isolated, harmonious, stable and orderly social order for natively remote alpine mountain Yi in Napo. Then, on this basis, adhering to the concept of legal pluralism, explores the relationship between Yi’s customary law of social organization and the national law in China, and analyzes the two in the performance and the reasons of conflict and coexistence of long-term coexistence. Finally, after describing the current situation of Yi’s customary law of social organization, makes some personal suggestions on how to form a positive interaction between Yi’s customary law of social organization and the national law, in the hope of customary law and national law to corporate development and benefit the local ethnic people.
