Grass-root servants’ occupational stress is the feeling which is based on work or beside work when grass-root servants execute guidelines of party and government or when they handle public affairs or solve public problems. In other words, Grass-root servants’ occupational stress is the subjective feeling which is based on in-coordination between executive ability and interpersonal skill, including mental,physiological and ethological reaction. The problem of grass-root servants’ occupational stress is an intractable issue, which is related to whether grass-root servants are keeping fit, whether the grassroots administrative work is taking effectively and whether the important goal of promoting basic governance modernization comes true fluently. Therefore, doing research on grass-root servants’ occupational stress, making analysis of the reasons and putting forward the strategies for improving the stress management of grass-root servants is really important.This paper mainly adopts method which combines the literature research and spot investigation research, just for the further discussion of grass-root servants’ occupational stress issue. This paper is launching from three main parts. The first part is the overview of theory of grass-root servants’ occupational stress in China. The second is the investigation and the analysis of grass-root servants’ occupational stress in China. The third is the strategies for improving the stress management of grass-root servants. Specifically to say, firstly, this paper conducts the concept definition of grass-root servants and grass-root servants’ occupational stress. And then, it makes analysis of the theoretical basis of grass-root servants’ occupational stress and the positive and negative effects of grass-root servants’ occupational stress. Secondly, this paper takes the C County as example in Hunan province, making analysis of the sources of grass-root servants’ occupational stress and the differences of grass-root servants’ occupational stress on basic statistical variables of population, such as age,gender and so on. After that, it is making analysis reasons for the production of grass-root servants’ occupational stress from social, organizational and individual levels. Finally, this paper is still from social, organizational and individual levels to put forwards the strategies for improving the stress management of grass-root servants.
