Empirical Study Of The Relationship Between Social Capital And Community Governance

Along with the advancement of new urbanization strategy of countries, more and more communities within the city appear. Community is a place for urban residents to live together, and how to achieve good governance has a certain extent relations with the development of the city.Community governance, as the management idea, is applied to community management. It refers to a common process of dealing with community public affairs, including several community subjects associated with community organizations around the concern of the community collaborating with each other. Its purpose is to maximize the public interest through the main body of the superior resources and action force. But the current plight of community governance exists. Although government tries to promote it, the community itself of participating in the power of governance is weak, whicn restricts the progress of community governance and effectiveness. The theory of social capital emphasizes the construction of trust, cooperation and interaction in the network to obtain resources and promote the development of groups or individuals. Social capital theory helps to promote the high accumulation of social capital in communities, and it provides a unique perspective of good community governance implement.This research attempts to study community governance from the perspective of social capital theory. First, elaborate from the perspective of qualitative the internal relations between social capital and community governance. Second, select two typical communities in Ji Ning as sample communities through empirical research. Compare with the two communities’basic situations of questionnaire data analysis and correlation analysis, we find the conclusions. The higher the universality of the community trust is, the more likely the community cooperation and community communication are. The sounder the community reciprocity specification is, the stronger the initiative of community residents for social interaction is, and the more abundant social network is. The richer the community residents’communication network is, the higher the participation of community public affairs is. The community’s satisfaction and esteemed evaluation of residents are related to its degree of community participation. The higher the social capital stock of the community, the more significant the community governance effect becomes.On this basis, according to the interaction of social capital and community governance mechanism, the policy suggestions about promoting residents’participation in community governance are propounded. Carry out community public activities to enhance residents’ feelings and trust. Pay attention to the community culture construction, and enhance residents’ community identity. Foster the development of community organizations, and improve community autonomy. Innovate management services, and promote the residents to participate in the normalized.
