Since the birth of the proletariat, the relationship between the proletarian interests and the state interests is perplexingly intertwined. The proletarian revolution in China is part of the world proletarian revolution and is influenced by the latter, but because China was a semi-colonial and semi-feudal society, it determines the Chinese revolution has its own characteristics in dealing with the two relationship. In the development process of the proletarian revolution in China, the recognition of Chinese Communists on the relationship between the two has experienced a ceaseless changing. This process is not only the one in which the proletarian interests and the state interests have developed, but also the process of localization of Marxism, in which the relationship between the two combined with the Chinese conditions. In the period after its founding, the CPC neglected the practical conditions in China and then paid much attention to proletarian interests than to state interests under the influence of the International lead by Lenin. With the deeper recognition of Chinese semi-colonial and semi-feudal conditions, CPC began to put the same value on both interests. After the fiasco of the First Civil Revolution, CPC attempted to rely solely on the proletariat and the small part of the alliances due to the false analysis of the International about Chinese conditions, the proletarian interests has been emphasized again. The Zunyi Conference is a turning point and it symbolizes the beginning of the Chinese proletariat’s independent solution. From the Zunyi Conference to the founding of the People’s Republic of China, due to the experience summary of the First Cooperation between CPC and KMT and the analysis of the domestic situations, CPC’s recognition of proletarian interests and state interests underwent three evolutions in three periods separately. The three periods conclude the Anti-Japanese War, the history from the victory of the Anti-Japanese War to the outbreak of the Liberation War and the Liberation War.After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, with the CPC’s leading status, it has gone through new recognition of proletarian interests and state interests. From the founding of the New China to the eve of the Third Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee of CPC, with the change of its judgments about the situations both at home and abroad, the relationship between proletarian interests and state interests has also experienced evolution, that means from the same importance to the emphasis on proletarian interests in the period of Great Culture Revolution. Since the Opening and Reform Policy, with the beginning of the disintegration within the socialist camp and the CPC’s transfer of its work priority, CPC went through again the change of the recognition of proletarian interests and state interests. The proletarian interests have been gradually weakened, at the same time, man pays much attention to the state interests. In the process of Chinese revolution and construction, CPC’s evolutions of recognition of proletarian interests and state interests reflect its explorations of revolution and construction in different times, among which there are some successful, some failed. The experience summary of the recognition of the two relationship is propitious for CPC to lead Chinese people into better development in the complex circumstances in the future.
