The Research Of Ukraine’s Geolpoitical Predicament

In 1991 August, Ukraine declared independence from the Soviet Union, became an independent sovereign state. As Eastern European country with a vast area, strong science and technology, also the powerful military, Ukraine has a good development potential. However, as is located Eurasia geopolitical center, Ukraine has become the focus of the competition between big powers and interests. In this paper, from the geopolitical point of view, combined with the realist school of international relations in the national interest theory and power theory and other research methods, first of all, starting from the history of Ukraine geo environmental changes, according to the current Ukraine geopolitical environment characteristic, conducts the research to the Ukraine geo political predicament.In the face of such a complex geopolitical environment, Ukraine is always manipulated status. How to choose their own development path in a variety of possible geopolitical strategy, becomes the most important question to Ukraine’s rulers. However, Ukraine’s history and reality show that regardless of Ukraine to make what kind of choice, andare limited by many factors.The main reason of restricting the development of Ukraine in the final analysis is the special geopolitical environment, Ukraine will be a long time in this predicament, the crisis in Ukraine will not be solved in a short time.
