In the study of problems of the ideological origins of the American Revolutionand the founding of the United States, the huge impact of the Hebrew tradition on theAmerican Republic is gradually receiving the academic attention. As promoters of theAmerican Revolution, Paine’s works which emitting a strong Hebrew republicantendencies, strongly show the key role its pamphlet writer playing in two Puritanrevolution, which took place in England and American. This paper aims at reviewingthe historical context between Puritan Revolution and Hebrew republican generated,reinterpretation Hebrew republican ideology inherent in "common sense", revealingPaine’s unique role in spreading Hebrew republican ideology in the Americancolonies, and his important influence on the founding of the United States and theAmerican constitutional.This article begins with a review of the historical perspective of the Englishrevolution resulting from the development of the Hebrew Republic. The Hebrew rightto fight in the Republican source in the reformation period, express from theinterpretation of the Bible by the way of Renaissance model, and show the ideologyagainst the monarchy and advocate republican completely. During the Puritanrevolution in England, puritan spirit conflict against the idea of divine right of kings,which Promoted a strong demand against idolatry. Meanwhile the execution ofCharles I became a historic turning point, compelling the English seek for thejustification of Regicide. By the end of Milton and Sydney’s effort,the radicalHebrew Republican experienced the formation and development. Though theexclusive republican theory the Hebrew Republic advocated was rejected after theGlorious Revolution, the spark of this theory across the ocean with puritan, andpreserved in the new world. The unique political and economic environment of northAmerican, not only doomed its independence, but also meant to be it the best soil forthe cultivation of the republican system. So the growing between Britain and the United States from economic to political conflicted, caused the north American Warof Independence broke out.Paine’s common sense not only for the people of the colony indicates thedirection of the revolutionary war of independence, but also through a combination ofthe actual situation of the United States, to introduce the colonial Hebrew republicanideas in detail. The Social contract theory, anti-monarchy theory, and the theory ofthe construction of the republic, reflected from common sense is the inheritance anddevelopment of Hebrew Republican sourcing from the British Puritan revolution, fitthe needs of the American Revolution era, and become the theoretical basis ofcolonial people fight against the British eventually. Apparently, The common sensenot only terminate the debate over critical political arguments, but also influenced thefounding of United States and its establishment of Constitution directly, throughprofound impact of the declaration of independence.
