American history began from Puritan settlers in the17th century. The formation of the American nation, the American social and cultural development has always been accompanies by Christianity in the past300years. Christian tradition has been deep into all aspects of American society, of course, including the political level. Therefore, although the US is a secular country from a legal sense, the political life follows the strict principle of separation of religion; Christianity plays the pivotal role in the actual political process. Party system is an important part of the political machine of a state. Just like the other parts of the US political system, the US party system is subject to the profound impact of the Christian elements in its entire process of the production, maturation and normal functioning. United States, as a typical representative of the Western world, the research of the relationship between its party system and Christian would be a positive significance to the general study of western religion and party system. At the same time, the topic of the China’s reform in political system and party system area is also a lot of academic experts discussion for. The research from the Christian aspects of the formation and operation of the political party system of the United States will also be helpful for exploring the cultural factors behind the political system of a country.This paper includes six chapters. The first chapter is introduction, second required several important concepts; the3rd chapter introduced the basic situation of Christianity of the United States through reviewing the development process of the U. S. Christian, explaining the genres and their basic points of view;4th mainly introduced how the U. S. Christian influence the form of the US party system, its organizational structure, and its ideology, analyzing the influence in the political program area of the parties by take the Election2008for instance, as well as the discussion of the United States Christian constraints of the US political parties; the5th chapter is the discussion of the future of the relationship between US Christianity and party system; the final chapter shows the conclusions.
