Sexually transmitted diseases are group of diseaseswhich are spread through sexbehavior and have the characteristics of highly infectivity and widelyperniciousness.The emergence of sexually transmitted diseases in China can be traced back beforethe century. Since the20th century, as the world cultural exchangesbecomingfrequently, the sexual attitudes in our country have became open andsexually transmitted diseases have been spreading widely.The laws and regulations for punishing the behavior of propagating sexuallytransmitted diseases were made since1991. However, author thought, the legislationof above-mentioned laws and regulations areso hasty that the legal logic and thejudicial practice were set in the awkward position, at the same time many problemswere left to the theory researchers. These many problems are the background of thisarticle.This article is divided into the following seven parts:The first part, explore the legislation evolution of the crime of spreading venerealdisease and spell out the problems of this crime.The second part, explore the rationality of the accusation of this crime and theresearch focused on the word SPREAD.The third part, explore the legal interest of this crime and the actual legal interest is maintaining good social management order but author thought it should beprotecting the life and health of people.The forth part, explore the components of the subjective aspect of this crime andthe research focused on the word KNOWINGLY.The fifth part, explore the word SERIOUS VENEREAL DISEASES and define thescope of the serious venereal diseases.The sixth part, explore the components of the objective aspect of this crime anddefine the types of behaviors included in this crime.The seventh part, explore the difference between this crime and the crime ofintentional injury.
