China’s Non-governmental Organizations To Guide The Path Of Political Participation Of Citizens

With more than thirty years’ deepening of reform and opening up and economic constantdevelopment, our country’s social form is gradually transforming from tradition ‘citizen’ssociety organization’to ‘civil society organization’. However, the development of civil societyand the enthusiasm of civilian political participation have been not good enough because ofhistorical reasons. As in the transition of Chinese social form, nongovernmental organizationswhich serve as a bond between civilian and government are developing swiftly and playing apositive role in guiding civilian political participation. Yet, there are still a lot of imperfectionson guiding civilian political participation. For example, how to improve the function on raisingthe public’s enthusiasm of political participation and how to enhance the development ofcivilian society are the focuses of this thesis.This paper starts with the research of the background of this problem according to theparticularities of nongovernmental organizations and civilian political participation and thenanalyzes, induces and summarizes related references and monographs of the issue through allof which this paper concludes correlative conceptions. And then based on the necessity ofnongovernmental organization guiding civilian political participation, the paper demonstratesthe advantages of nongovernmental organization guiding civilian political participation. Andthen the paper analyze the inadequacy and the causes of this problem by analyzing theapproach of nongovernmental organization’s guiding civilian political participation. This paperalso introduced the successful case of nongovernmental organization’s guiding civilianpolitical participation used in America, Germany, England and Thailand and summed up some useful experience in order to use for reference for China. In the end, this paper came up withthe approaches to improve the function of nongovernmental organization on guiding civilianpolitical participation in foundation of organization, institution, thought and society.
