Research On Shenyang University Students Party Construction Work In The New Era

University Party construction should be centered on the fundamental task whichis to cultivate qualified builders and reliable successors of the cause of buildingsocialism with Chinese characteristics, to provide a strong ideological, political andorganizational guarantee in building socialistic universities in which high-qualitystudents can be cultivated. Therefore “grasping the basic groundwork, laying thefoundation” becomes a basic task for the Party construction in institutions of higherlearning. According to the spirit of the18th National Congress of the CPC,University Students’ Party construction should be to enhance the Party spirit, toimprove the quality, focusing on strengthening and improving the education andmanagement of Party members, to perfect the long-term mechanism in our postalexcel in the performances, to promote the majority of Party members to play avanguard and exemplary role. University is an important position for talents’ training,and students’ Party construction plays an important role in the Party construction ofuniversities. It has a very important strategic significance to ensure passing the torch,maintaining the prosperity of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics.In this essay, based on the effects brought by the international and domesticsituation changes, the reform and development of higher education and the workobject changes of university students’ Party construction, the author made someinvestigations and researches into the work of Shenyang university students’ Partyconstruction in the new era, by means of visiting the organizational departments ofsome colleges and universities in Shenyang and questioning some student Partymembers. A systematic analysis is made into the Party member images, motives ofjoining in the Party, Party member recruitment, Party-building work carrier, theeducation and management of Party members and specialty engineering of Partyconstruction, etc. A whole situation of Shenyang universities’ Party construction isunderstood through visiting Shenyang Municipal Committee and Municipal PartySchool. Based on the above, the author analyzed the ideological status of college students and Party working conditions and the problems which includes thefollowing six respects: the recruitment of Party members emphasizing on heavyquantity rather than quality, the blind pursuit of the enrollment of grassroots Partymembers, the ignorance of the relevant procedures, organizational deficiencies, theover-simplification of party recruit and the lack of innovation, etc. Finally, the authorputs forward the suggestion of “quality control” to strengthen the cultivation ofnon-Party activists, the “supervision control” to strengthen the evaluation ofstudents’ Party members, the “education control” to carry out education and trainingof Party members in a scientific and reasonable way, and the “innovation control” toconstantly update the universities grassroots students’ Party building activities.
