| Gambling is a controversial area. The advantages and disadvantages of gamblingis still debated fiercely recently, the supporters and opponents have their own reasons.In past twenty to thirty years, it seems that the supportive point surpasses theoppositive side in the world. Therefore, the area of gambling has got the explosivegrowth in a short period of time, especially in Macao. But the gambling should bestrict in supervision. So the paper mainly discusses Macao’s recent system of law,concludes its overall characteristics and its social effects.The paper consists of four chapters. The first part is the introduction of thewriting, including the purposes, significances,literature reviews,research status,methods, innovations, structures and deficiencies of the study.The second part is the discussion on historical changes of Macao’s gambling. Itfirst elaborates the basic development stage of gambling. It then explores the originand the existing problems of gambling franchise. At last, the chapter states the reformof gambling franchise.The third part analyzes the legal system of gambling after the return of Macaofrom macro-prospective. It explores the formation, history and features of gamblingsystem after the return of Macao. And it analyses its under gambling systems,pointing out the conflicts and problems between each branches of the gamblingsystem. Finally, the solution and thoughts are put forward in the paper.The fourth part analyzes the main system of Macao’s gambling laws from itsmicro-perspective. In this part, the author selects three important systems: supervisorysystem of gambling, the agent system of gambling, competition system of gamblingas the basis to explore the gambling system law.The last part is the conclusion. Through the analysis of Macao’s gamblingsystem law, it summarizes the general features of Macao’s gambling system andpoints out its social effects. In the end, the author put forwards that the gamblingsystem still needs further improvements in future. |
