A Study Of Lv Zuqian’s People-oriented Thought

People-oriented thoughts which are regarded as the safeguard in a country’s guiding philosophy, is the common concern of ancient and modern thinkers and politicians. Lv Zuqian, who lived in the Southern Song Dynasty, was a famous philosopher and thinker at that time.Zhu Xi, Zhang Shi and he standed like the legs of a tripod cauldron and were known as the “Three Sages in the Southeast”. He inherited the Confucian traditional thought from the pre-qin period of “people-oriented concept” and“benevolence” and carried them on the full development combined with social reality in the early stage of the southern song dynasty, hoping to remonstrate monarch officials pay more attention to the important roles which people play in the national stability and social development.People-oriented thoughts of Lv Zuqian occupied a certain position in the history of ancient Chinese thought and deserves to be valued.The paper is divided into four chapters,besides introduction and conclusion.The main content of the research are the political ideology of “The monarch,courtiers and the people depend on each other”,the economic thought of “Cherish people”,“Benefit people ”, “ Act on the amount of financial resources of people ” as well as the characteristics of “ People oriented thought ” of Lv Zuqian. And this paper also preliminarily analyzes the causes of the formation of Lv Zuqian ’s thought.The first part analyzes the causes of “People oriented thought”of Lv Zuqian from the following four parts: Lv Zuqian life background of the times, the influence of Confucian thoughts of people before the song dynasty, family and academic background and his communication with teachers and friends.The second part demonstrates the political thought of “ The monarch and the people depend on each other” from the relationship between the monarch and courtiers,the monarch and people and the courtiers and people.The third part reflacts the economic thought by policy proposals of taxes, land,advise points, salt law and so on.The fourth part summarizes and analyses the characteristics of Lv Zuqian’s people-oriented thought.
