In a critical period of deepening reform, restructuring and development, Chinese social structure is faced with major changes in the pattern of social interests & the profound adjustment. Inevitably,the CPC and the government encountered the hitherto unknown challenge, while the main body of the public management of the civil service is facing a more severe test, and the professional pressure is more and more obvious. How to reduce or eliminate the civil service pressure, improve the administrative efficiency of the civil service to promote sustainable economic and social development has been paid more and more attention of scholars and reformers. The local government acts as the important and strategic linkage among the districts in the development of economy and society. As the development of grass-roots civil servants for the implementation of the country’s fundamental policy, basic economic and social practice, people’s rights and obligations of the promoters of support, the ability to work, the state, their efficiency directly determines the effectiveness of government administration. Therefore, it is of great significance to improve the efficiency of government administration by investigating the present situation of civil servants work, work pressure sources of local government and the coping strategies to effectively alleviate the pressure of the grass-roots civil servants.This study aims to analyze the existing tremendous professional pressure and source of civil servants in Longquanyi District and provide the resolutions accordingly as reference to the other local governments for improving the stress management, based on the analysis of the basic theory of stress management in local government and research on the present situation of civil servant stress management.
