The Maritime Silk Road And Construction Of Chinese Sea Power In 21st Century

The transformation of China from a terrestrial power to sea power country makes Naval Construction a proposition with conspicuous characteristic of times, The construction of sea power is the path to a stronger china of which the key agenda is to ensure the safety of sea lanes. Based on the theory and experience of Chinese and western sea power this paper according to the initiative of 21 st century Maritime Silk Road, analyzes the background, cooperation contents, basic range, cooperative mechanism etc. Combining the layout of interconnection, infrastructure investments and port construction, this paper is intended to provide some suggestions for the construction of Chinese sea power. This paper suggests that China should give attention to both economic and security interests, developing Chinese sea power with Marine partnership as main content while Building overseas strategic fulcrum to ensure the safety of overseas traffic channel.
