After the end of world war ii, African countries’ national independence movement is in full swing, this is keep up with the trend of the history of the phenomenon, because only national independence to realize national rich and strong (powerful). France suffered during world war ii, was greatly weakened strength. So after the end of the war, France is committed to uniting the internal work, to retake the words in the world is strong and expanded its influence, to this end, France put their focus in the development and the relationship between the various African colonial countries. De gaulle to overthrow the inequality in Africa before and foreign policy, trying to cooperation with new attitude and Africa, committed to the bilateral and multilateral way overseas development assistance to Africa. From then on, the French diplomacy in Africa are generally emphasize equal cooperation, the process has its twists and turns, but the ultimate goal is through a variety of programs for the African people bring better life national wealth. This article describes the background and motivation for starting the French aid to Africa policy; combing the basic overview of French foreign aid and the main features; a time to explore a node after World WarⅡ, in different periods of French aid to Africa policy and its evolution; and the characteristics and some problems of the French policy of aid to Africa, according to the lesson to be learned for the future of the French development aid policy for Africa for a simple prediction.
